Control Tower is a database with more than
200,000 infrared control codes, which ich integrated seamless in the
IRControl System. Owner of a Global Caché infrared device do have full
access to the Control Tower.
For downloading infrared codes you have first to choice the brand of
your device as well as type and model. With the edit control „Filter“
you can search a brand by typing a substring of the name. After pressing
the Ok button the
control codes will be downloaded and inserted as commands directly in
your device configuration. It can take several seconds to transfer all
the data.
User without a Global Caché Device
User with an other type of infrared transmitter (IRTrans , Broadlin, IrDroid and in android integrated IR blasers) do have only a limtied access to the Control Tower database. You have first to create an account (it’s for free) on Control Tower webpage, because you have to login with your personal account in this case. After Login you choose (as described above) the brand of your device as well as type and model and confirm it iby pressing the Ok button 
. You will receive after your control codes by E-Mail.
The control codes, sent by mail, you could import after into the IRContol device configuration.
Paste your infrared codes (exaclty like they are sent by mail) into the text area or (if you have stored it in a file) Import it with pressing the button „Load File“. After inserting the data, you can import them by pressing the Ok button. With the button „Request Data“ you can start the window with the selection of your device.
