Actions

Actions are control commands that call any functionality, such as sending an infrared sequence to a receiving device. There are different types of action types. An action is either configured on a control or called from a macro (see chapter Macros).

When configuring an action on a control, a corresponding trigger must be configured. A trigger defines what action (for example, press the button) to executes the action. Depending on the control, there are different trigger types.

An action thus concretely determines what happens when e.g. press a button.

The actions are listed in the order in which they are executed (it is also possible to define several actions). The sort button can be used to change the sort order.

Action hinzufügen

With the button you add a new action to your tax element. Now the Action Configurator is started:

Now a list of possible actors (devices or subsystems to which an action can be sent or commands executed) will appear. First, all devices that you have previously configured are listed. Then the page repository (which contains all layout pages) is listed, then the macro repository (which contains all the macros) and finally some system commands for remote functionality of IRControl.

If you now select an actor (for example, infrared transmitter), the target devices or targets are listed. Now select the target device for which you want to create the action.

After the commanos for the target device are listed, of which you have to select select one for the action you want to create.

Now the detail attributes for the action appear.

Depending on the actuator (or device) and target device (target), different attributes are available.

Attribute

The following basic attributes are available on all types of actions:

TriggerThe trigger of the action (for example, a button is pressed). Depending on the type of control to which you are configuring the action, different triggers exist. The triggers are therefore documented in the individual design elements (controls) (see also Controls).
DelayIf you define a delay, the control sequence is sent with a time delay (specified in milliseconds).
StateThe state attribute can be used to link the execution of the action with a status of the control (see also State Attribute).

Edit action

When editing an action, the type can no longer be changed. But it is possible to change the actor (device) and the target (with button).
