With
the IRControl System you can design your pages for the control of you
home electronic equipment yourself. You can define one page for each
device or you can define one page for each use case. Let your
imagination run wild.
The Main.xml represents your main page in the IRControl system. From there you can navigate through any nested additional layout pages. Vor page navigation through pages see also the chapters Text Button, Image Button and Page Action. The main page exists allways. It can be deleted only if there will be created a new one at the same time.
To add a new page, you have to enter the name and filename. Select a page type. For layout pages, which you want to show inside the IRControl App, you have to choose „page“. For further Information about the page types «Widget» and «Notification», you can read the concerning chapters.
The layout size (Base Width and Base Height) will be filled out by system. In normal case you don’t have to change it. If you want to create a layout specialy for an other android devie (for example a smart phone) with another screen resolution, please consider the chapter Screen Resolution.
A page is splitted to several areas. For more information about this you can read the chapter Fragments. If you have created your new page, 2 fragments will be created automatically by system. This fragments can be edited with the layout editor (start it with 
). A new created layout page is completely empty and it has no functionality to control a device at this moment.
Fragments
A layout page is devided in different areas (fragments).
Main Fragment
The
main fragment is the most significant part of a layout page. Every
layout page has a main fragment, which cannot be deleted. If there are
sub pages configured, the main fragment will die displayed as static
area in a transparent layer over the sub pages. It can be used for
control elements that should be available in each view of a sub page.
Page Header
The
page header will be display at the top of the layoaut page. It exsits
on every page and cannot be deleted. By default it is diplayed with a
blue color gradient.
Context Slieder
The
context slieder will be displayed for additional information at the
left border of the screen. It will be slided in by pressing the menu
button
in the left upper corner or with a slied movement at the left border.
This fragment is optional, so you have to add it to your layout page if
you want to use it.
If there are sub pages defined on you layout page, you have the choice
to add one context slider which will be in effect for all subpages or
you can define a context slieder seperately for each subpage.
Sub Pages
With subpages you can define define different areas witch will be
displayed like the main fragment on the biggest part of the display. You
can switch between the subpages with a slide movement on the screen. If
you have configured sub pages for your layout page, the main fragment
only has a minor relevance. It will be displayed in a static way above
the page layer.
